Praise be the Lord …
>> The challenge: To follow the Jesus, to follow the gospel.
Being involved in our daily lives, still to follow Jesus.
>> Deny yourself and follow Jesus: As Jesus has said, to pick
up our cross and follow HIM.
>> Become a servant: It shall not be so among you. But whoever
would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among
you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to
serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:26-28)
>> Gain the world and forfeit life: For whoever is ashamed of
me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the
Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the
holy angels. (Mark 8:34-38)
>> Sell your stuff and give to the poor: For whoever is ashamed
of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the
Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the
holy angels. (Mark 8:34-38)
>> Blessed are the persecuted: Blessed are you when people hate
you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on
account of the Son of Man! (Luke 6:22)
>> Do not be anxious about your life: Therefore I tell you, do
not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor
about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body
more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)
>> Not everyone enters the kingdom: Not everyone who says to
me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will
of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did
we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many
mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you;
depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. (Matthew 7:21-23)
>> Fear God: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)
>> The exalted will be humbled: Whoever exalts himself will be
humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)
>> Hate thy Family: If anyone comes to me and does not hate his
own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and
even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26)Which means God is always first, above all; even the family
which HE has blessed us with above them also.
Father we pray to you, make our hearts to be more sensitive towards you and we follow our Shepherd ...
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord ...
Amen...
